If you manage social accounts on Facebook, Instagram, or both, you will most likely benefit from the Facebook Business Suite management dashboard.
For professional users, this free tool has some powerful features. It won’t be able to meet all of your daily social media needs, but it will be a big help. Let’s take a look at how Facebook Business Suite can help your company and when you might need to add more tools to the mix.
What exactly is the Facebook Business Suite?
Facebook Business Suite is a Facebook management tool that will be available in September 2020. Facebook COO Sheryl Sandberg described it as “a new interface to help businesses save time and stay up to date by managing their pages or profiles across [Facebook] apps” on the day of its launch.
Facebook Business Suite essentially replaces Facebook Business Manager, though you can continue to use Business Manager for the time being if you prefer (more on that below).
Facebook Business Manager vs. Facebook Business Suite
As previously stated, Facebook Business Suite is meant to take the place of Facebook Business Manager. Indeed, the link that used to take you to Business Manager now defaults to Business Suite.
So, what’s new? Facebook has provided a more unified tool designed to handle all business activity for Facebook and Instagram in their new business interface.
Here are some of the most significant changes:
The home screen
The home screen now contains a plethora of new information. You’ll see notifications for your Facebook Page and Instagram account, as well as summaries of your most recent posts and ads and some basic performance insights.

Inbox
Direct messages from Facebook, Instagram, and Facebook Messenger, as well as comments from your Facebook Business Page and Instagram Business account, are now all on one page in the new unified Inbox.
You can set up automated messages and add a Facebook chat plugin to your website from the Inbox.

Insights
The Insights screen in Business Suite offers a more unified view of organic and paid posts on Facebook and Instagram, as well as audience information on both platforms.
