Over the years, logging into my Amazon Associates account to check on my latest stats, affiliate sales, and earnings has become a near-daily occurrence for me.
Certain weeks and months are exceptional, with revenue and earnings exceeding my expectations. During other weeks or months, this is not the case.
However, one thing has remained constant and consistent in terms of my Amazon affiliate sales – the majority of the items for which I receive credit are items that I do not promote on any of my websites!
From my humble beginnings as an Amazon affiliate nearly a decade ago, to my zenith as an affiliate website creator, to today… I’m constantly amazed at how many items I receive credit for that I never promote. This is without a doubt my favorite feature/benefit of the Amazon Associates program – the fact that they credit you for ANY item purchased within 24 hours of setting your affiliate cookie.
This robust affiliate program feature inspired me to write this post about methods for increasing Amazon affiliate clicks. And what better place than the Niche Pursuits blog to publish it!
Hey! Permit me to begin by introducing myself.
My name is Matthew Allen, and I’m the co-founder and co-creator of AmaLinks Pro – without a doubt the best Amazon affiliate WordPress plugin available today.

BEING AN AMAZON AFFILIATE PRODUCT CREATOR
For several reasons, I believe I am in a unique position.
I’ve been a newcomer to Amazon affiliate marketing. I’ve made all of the common beginner’s errors. Additionally, I have been a successful Amazon affiliate. I’ve developed and sold profitable affiliate websites. For over a decade, I’ve been a blogger. I’ve written a good deal of content for blogs that receive little traffic and quite a bit for blogs that receive a lot of traffic. Along the way, I’ve had some successes and more failures than I can count.
All of that has been fantastic. As an internet entrepreneur, it’s been an incredible journey. However, everything I’ve just mentioned is quite common. Numerous people engage in all of those activities. The barrier to entry is quite low for becoming a successful blogger or affiliate website creator. It’s not difficult to accomplish if you have the time and/or funds available.
However, being a successful Amazon affiliate product creator… Now we’re dealing with a completely different ballgame. The barrier to entry is significantly higher for a product creator, and executing this effectively and successfully is significantly more difficult. Nonetheless, I have done this as well, which is one of the primary reasons I believe I am uniquely qualified to offer advice on how to increase Amazon affiliate clicks on your website or blog.
Not only have I owned a few affiliate websites and blogs of my own, but I’ve also seen hundreds of sites earn money as Amazon affiliates over the last couple of years. I’ve been an active member of our AmaLinks Pro support team – and we’ve seen just about everything there is to see when it comes to websites or blogs that are monetized through the Amazon Associates program.
